We are looking for an energetic and proactive Project Manager to play an integral part within our Learning & Development team across our commercial and charitable programmes. This role requires someone with a passion for developing relationships and helping people learn. The role provides variety and will organically develop with our learning plans for the future, therefore requires a team player who is adaptable to change.

Responsibilities:

Project Management

  • To project manage the annual programme of open workshops from end to end: areas of administration and logistics, delegate communications, trainer liaison, overseeing of facilities and catering
  • To identify opportunities to develop the programme and for continuous improvement to the customers experience, whilst maintaining consistent standards of delivery and highlighting potential risks
  • To support our trainers and L&D team on customised projects in order to provide a clear picture on pipeline and income to the senior team
  • To support on Leading Edge events including facilitation at evening masterclasses
  • To support the Learning & Development Programme Manager with annual planning, L&D programme projects and future proofing developments

Budgets and reporting

  • Manage the open workshop, L&D customised and freelance resource budget
  • Excellent and timely management of monthly management accounts
  • Provide core team with weekly updates on current performance versus targets, customised pipeline, customer engagement and plans to mitigate risk
  • Accurate and timely creation of the daily sales report
  • Weekly updating of the Charitable KPIs for learning opportunities provided through workshops, customised and Leading Edge events

Account Handling and Customer Engagement

  • Implement a customer engagement plan to build awareness of our offer and build robust relationships in order to support our customers through their learner journey
  • Tracking of engagement plan and interactions
  • Interact and engage in good quality conversations through calls, emails and IGD events , being a great ambassador for the team and demonstrating IGD behaviours

Knowledge, skills and experience

Experience

  • Experience of managing projects ideally in a Learning & Development or events environment
  • Experience of running projects end to end with budget and reporting responsibility
  • Experience of being customer facing and engaging in good quality customer conversations
  • Educated to degree level
  • Project management skills - ability to create a project plan, execute it on time, within budget and report effectively
  • Numeracy – ability to accurately record, interpret numerical information and forecast with high levels of attention to detail
  • Teamwork and interpersonal skills – highly effective at working in a team, and building relationships with industry personnel of all levels. Operates with diplomacy and integrity
  • Communication skills – articulate and confident, in particular face-to-face and on the phone; great at developing relationships and presenting to a large audience
  • Writing skills – strong written English with high levels of attention to detail
  • Problem solving - able to work independently, identify short-term fixes and long-term solutions to challenges
  • Analytical skills – ability to analyse information accurately, quickly drawing out implications and trends
