How we are governed

We’re a research and training charity governed by a board of trustees. We don’t lobby and we’re not-for-profit. Our charitable activities are funded through a trading company, governed by our external board of directors.

Our internal board consists of our chief executive and our senior leadership team. Together, they are responsible for the day-to-day running of IGD.

The chief executive is responsible to the trustees for the management of our charity operations.

Our Chief Executive

She spends her time engaging with businesses across the industry at the most senior level, in addition to acting as an advisor to government and major institutions, including HM Treasury and the Bank of England

Joanne has a degree in Modern Languages from Manchester University and an MBA with distinction from Stirling University.
