HR Leaders' Forum

Industry Working Groups

February 2016 saw the launch of the HR Leaders’ Forum (HRLF). This group brings together HR directors from across the Food and Grocery industry 3 times a year.  

The purpose of the HRLF is to help inform IGD’s work programme in the area of People Development with the intention of meeting the training and education requirements of the industry.

2017 areas of focus:

The forum will continue to keep a watching brief on agreed issues and help identify future priorities.

 

  • Research into Skills for the Future to understand skills shortages and identify possible solutions
  • Review options to increase awareness of our industry in schools, building on the existing Feeding Britain’s Future programme – e.g. introducing collateral for teachers, pupils and parents
  • Developments and understanding of the Apprenticeship Levy.
