IGD Skills Summit 2013 - Feeding Britain's Future

About this event

A one day event that can make a long term difference.

The IGD Skills Summit 2013 will consider how we can ‘feed Britain’s future’, to support young people with the skills and knowledge they need to give them the confidence and capability to get started.

This will be an inspirational day of learning, galvanising the industry towards delivering a great outcome during Feeding Britain’s Future – Skills for Work Month. With a real focus on best practice and planning, we’ll hear a wide range of inputs from companies and organisations committed to this agenda.

As the largest private sector employer, the food and grocery industry has a strong connection with young people and a real responsibility to help nurture the current generation of 16 – 24 year olds, so please join us in London on June 12th and help to make a difference.

The Summit is extremely relevant for;

  • Companies, teams and individuals that are involved in the delivery of Feeding Britain’s Future Skills Month in September 2013. You can find out more about Feeding Britain’s Future and get involved by visiting here
  • Those wishing to gain a broader understanding of the skills and career agenda for young people and the role our industry can play in accelerating change
  • Colleagues interested in learning more about the delivery of pre-employment training, colleague engagement and collaboration with external partners
  • Those wishing to understand how they can make a positive difference to youth unemployment and drive greater levels of employability.

The Summit is funded by IGD the charity, and there is no charge for attendance.
